Home > Resources > Newsroom > In the News > Kaye Newsome appointed to the Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan Board Kaye Newsome appointed to the Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan Board of TrusteesWe are pleased to announce that Kaye Newsome, Vice President of Client Relations with Meritain Health, has been appointed by Missouri Governor Jay Nixon to the Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan (MCHCP) Board of Trustees. MCHCP provides coverage to employees and retirees of most State agencies as well as Public Entities that have joined MCHCP. Over 108,000 State and Public Entity members are covered by MCHCP.The Board of Trustees is responsible for the general administration and operation of the plan covering medical expenses of state employees, retirees, their families and survivors. The Board also functions as fiduciaries of the trust and is responsible for the financial viability of the trust; establishes all eligibility and participation requirements for members wishing to join the plan; and develops all rules and regulations necessary to efficiently operate the plan. Kaye has served in management positions for several other healthcare related businesses, including Humana, Kaiser Permanente and CIGNA Health Care of Kansas/Missouri. The Governor has appointed her for a term ending Jan. 1, 2010. |
