Their new slate of sales and marketing leadership was officially announced at the company's national conference held last week in Buffalo, New York. "The employee health benefits industry stands at a crossroads in its ongoing battle to contain employer costs while offering employees affordable health benefits. Meritain Health is leading the national movement to contain healthcare costs by focusing on employee wellness initiatives," said Jacob L. Canova, Chairman and CEO of Meritain Health. "We are driving member change by providing the information and resources members need to improve their own health and change their unhealthy habits and lifestyles." Meritain Health's new executive marketing team includes: Richard Bukovinsky, President, National Sales; Janice Rahm, Senior Vice President, Product and Service Development, Prodigy Health Group; Roberta "Bert" Wachtelhausen, Senior Vice President, National Accounts; David C. Parker, Senior Vice President, Sales; and G. Scott Reed, Vice President, Marketing. As President of National Sales, Richard Bukovinsky is responsible for developing business in new and emerging markets. He will lead the company's sales and marketing initiatives and play a critical role in the overall strategic direction of Meritain Health. Bukovinsky brings over 16 years of experience with employee health and benefit programs. Janice Rahm, Senior Vice President, Product and Service Development, Prodigy Health Group, is responsible for new product initiatives and product design. She focuses on the experience of health plan members, emphasizing products and tools specific to promoting healthy lifestyles and creating better health care consumers. Rahm has 18 years of experience in the health benefits arena. As Meritain Health's Senior Vice President, National Accounts, Roberta Wachtelhausen, leads the company's efforts with the development of national accounts with large group employers. In this capacity, she is responsible for developing and driving new business in all U.S. markets and develops relationships at the national level with large regional brokerage firms and consulting houses. Wachtelhausen has 25 years of experience in employee health benefits. David C. Parker, Senior Vice President of Sales, is responsible for overall management of national sales, including supervision of sales personnel, development of national sales strategies, and achievement of sales objectives. Parker is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters, the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators, the Self-Insured Institute of America, and the International Foundation of Education, Benefits and Compensation. G. Scott Reed, Vice President of Marketing, plays a leadership role in formulating and leading the implementation of strategic marketing initiatives.
