Walking meetings can help!

• Boost creativity. Steve Jobs was a big fan of walking meetings because it helped him brainstorm different ideas. A study at Stanford University revealed that walking can boost creative thinking by about 60 percent. This isn’t surprising, since walking provides a change of scenery that helps our brains think differently, resulting in fresh ideas and new solutions to problems.
• Break down barriers. Going on a walking meeting can keep the conversation open and casual. Walking side-by-side, instead of talking face-to-face, can help all parties feel more relaxed. The benefit is building stronger connections through a more honest and productive exchange of ideas.
• Improve your mood and overall well-being. Walking keeps you active and boosts your mood by waking you up and getting your blood pumping. Studies have shown that your brain is more relaxed when you walk due to the release of serotonin and other feel-good chemicals.
