Chief Sales Officer, Middle Market and Executive Director
Daniel P. Day, CEBS is the Chief Sales Officer, Middle Market and Executive Director for Meritain Health®, a CVS Health® company. Dan joined the Meritain Health team in December of 2019. In this role, Dan is responsible for leading the sales teams using an innovative sales strategy and initiatives.
Prior to this role, Dan was the SVP/Chief Market Officer in Eastern, PA for Highmark Blue Cross / Blue Shield. He led both new sales and retention teams for commercial sales and worked with Penn State Health and LVHN in “health care collaborations.”
For over 25 years, Dan has had varying leadership roles in the health care world, including three years with Coventry. His extensive experience, passion for health care, appetite for learning and vibrant energy help drive his success.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics while attending Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA. Additionally, he earned his CEBS – Certified Employee Benefits Specialist and Health care Leadership Certificate Program from Wharton and International Federation of Employee Benefit Plans in Philadelphia. He is also the local chapter President of CEBS and is a board member for a few non-profits (Schrieber Pediatric Rehab, Penn Medicine/Lancaster General Health – Foundation and the Hospice of Central PA.)
Dan, who is originally from New Jersey, currently resides in Lancaster, PA with his wife and dog. Together they have raised two boys who now live in Denver and LA. In his free time, he enjoys biking, skiing, and competing in triathlons and rowing.
