What do we mean?

Our team begins by looking for start-up companies providing products or services that would meet a unique or pressing need. We specifically explore solutions that complement and work well with our existing products, making it easier for our members to access them. We know we cannot do it all so we look to experts to provide best-in-class services for our clients that we can’t develop ourselves.

These companies present a unique opportunity for our customers and us. By recognizing and serving all our members, we support those who may have very individualized needs.

 

What is the benefit to our brokers?

With this approach, our broker partners gain options. They gain flexibility. They gain an innovative team who offers real, progressive solutions other TPAs don’t.

We help align solutions to engage and address unique population needs that supplement our extensive options.

These easy-to-use solutions lead to improved employee engagement, which results in better behaviors (medication adherence, preventive services, less-costly inpatient visits because patients are less sick when admitted, fewer ER visits, etc.). For employers, this translates to lower overall plan costs.

Since Meritain Health serves as the referrer to the solution, it enables us to accelerate speed-to-market like never before. This is truly a value-add—we’re doing it because we feel strongly about bringing the best solutions to the table and being able to offer our brokers a unique differentiator when offering Meritain Health to their clients.


Who are the vendors?

So far, we have identified a group of vendors that meet varying needs, from a smoking cessation/weight loss visualization program, to “smart desk” technology. The opportunities are endless. We are always looking for unique products and services to explore and build relationships with. We would be happy to provide additional details and/or make the appropriate introductions in order for you and/or your client to pursue a direct relationship.
