At our most recent town hall, leaders from across the organization announced an exciting new milestone: Meritain Health® now supports more than two million members. Mark Schmidt, Head of TPA and Payer Solutions, shared the significance of this achievement, noting that “the TPA business is at an inflection point—this is just an astounding accomplishment.”
Two million reasons to show up each day
For more than 40 years, we’ve been helping members navigate their health care journeys. Crossing this new member milestone reflects not only our longstanding commitment but a period of remarkable momentum. Since 2023, membership has grown by more than 30 percent, driven by several factors. These include expansion across multiple sectors, strong pharmacy performance and the successful onboarding of one of the largest clients in our history. These efforts, along with gains in the health care vertical, a strong captive business and increased attention from large, national employers, made this one of our busiest Welcome Seasons yet.
Simplifying health care, one community at a time
Our newest milestone further aligns us with parent companies, Aetna® and CVS Health®, and their mission to simplify health care one person, one family and one community at a time. As we grow, we’ll continue investing in technology and automation to create efficient, low‑friction and memorable experiences for our members. Chief Market Development Officer Michael Ciarrocci also emphasized that we’ll stay rooted in what has always set us apart, including our flexibility, innovation and everyday creativity.
The road ahead
Looking ahead, five pillars will guide our work: market expansion, product innovation, member experience, operational excellence and our distinctive TPA culture. These will help us to continue advancing in areas where we excel, while paving the way for the next wave of milestones across our business.
